|WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MADE THE SWITCH - WE ARE NOW LIVING THE ALPACA LIFESTYLE!!!
|WELCOME TO DREAM CATCHER RANCH
LOCATED IN BEAUTIFUL GILES COUNTY
|My Farm was started because of my love of animals. My home is
my animals home. I strive to bring to my animals the same joy
that my animals bring to me. Each of my four-legged family
members have names and personalities to match.
I moved here from Ocoee, Florida in March '06. I had worked at
Walt Disney World a little over 18 years. Myr twin daughters were
14 years old and I decided if I were going to folow my dream of
having a farm that it was now the time to give it a try. I sold my
house in Ocoee. And after searching all over Tennessee, I finally
located my dream house/property right here in Giles County.
Giles County is a beautiful place and I am proud to now call it my
My property consists of 19 acres of woods and pasture It started
out as a small goat farm. I enjoyed myr goats but there comes a
time where you must make some changes.
With the thought of doing something different, I started
researching everything I could find on Alpacas. I went to ny first
Alpaca show in Shelbyville, Tn in early March 2012 and spoke to
just about every breeder there. I came home with so much
information. I have had the opportunity to visit several area
Alpaca farms and everyone has been so helpful answering my
many questions on the care and well being of these beautiful
I decided to finally make that leap into Alpaca ownership in late
May 2012. I am sure I will be considered a "Newbie" for some
time to come but I feel confident that the friends Ie have made
along the way will be around to answer any questions or
concerns I might have.

My goal is to have happy and healthy Alpacas. All my Alpacas are treated with respect, love, and
care. I do not think of my Alpacas as livestock but more as devoted family companions and
friends. I am starting out with the thought of being more involved in the fiber side of the alpaca
business and maybe later going into breeding.
|Occasionally I will have CKC Great Pyrenees pups available as livestock guardians
or devoted family companions.
|My Grandson, Averee, loves
spending time on the farm and with
all the animals - especially the
puppies. Here he is playing with
one of my Akbash/Pyrenees pups
from one of Sassy's litters.
